FIRST SPORTS FOR THE TWINS

Oh my Oh my, where do I begin??  I used to blog EVERYTHING, it was a gift to my kids, documentation of their sweet busy lives and an outlet for me to write and post about real life.  I have had so many new and exciting things going on, such over busy schedules that I am scared to death of forgetting something (or even worse someone!) or dropping the ball, one of many I should say!  But I really want to continue blogging so I am going to try to find the time again and first I need to play "catch up!"  The boys played in their first of 2 ever league sports, the first was basketball!
Hmmmmmm, where do I go with that??  It was very tough at times, they didn't 100% understand the GOAL of the game, dribble, pass, shoot and score, then run back and guard the other team!  One funny moment that really stands out in mine and Dusten's memory is the very first ever game....Caden had the ball and Camen wanted him to pass it to him, but he didn't..... so Camen ran up to Caden and said, "I told you to pass it TO ME!!"  Then he punched him and we just fell out.  Oh my gosh this was one of many many funny moments during the season.  Caden would do ninja moves down the court, not sure if he is just so ADD or just wasn't into it??!!  These pics are from the last game by the way, they each got a towel instead of a trophy, which is awesome cause it's something we can use!
They did have some good moments too, good plays, good defense and just being plain cute!
Were still trying to find a balance with the twins when they do an activity together, it's really hard since they go to different schools and both thrive apart but turn into complete chaos together, it;s tough but we continue to work on that.  Also I struggle trying to find a balance on when to be encouraging vs tough on them.
We are not quite sure if sports is their niche or something else more individual like swim team, gymnastics or karate, or something else, I just want to find something they LOVE to do!
Baseball proved to be fun, interesting, tough and a bit harder than expected as well.  When I signed them up since they were 5 I expected them to start in tee ball, but I was wrong they started in coach pitch since they would turn 6 during the season.  So you would get 3 coach pitches (from 40 feet away and of course overhand) and if you missed them all the ball would go onto the tee until you got a hit.  Camen is in the red helmet and red cleats and Caden in the blue.
One game we came in from fielding and the coach called everyone into a huddle, he told the kids we needed 5 runs to win the game.....Camen was up first, I felt very nervous.  Then a few kids later, 2 outs and bases loaded little left Caden Jace got up, my stomach was in knots!!!!
He hit the ball off the coach pitch and the team won!!!  All of the coaches were so excited for Caden, they all ran up to him and it was an extra special moment, you know the one where not the best kid on the team does something great and it makes it that much better, that was that moment and I was soooooo proud of both of them.
This is the same game that prior to the game I had a huge talk with them about not being silly and behaving and trying hard....next thing I know during warm ups they are brawling in the field!!!  I almost pulled them and we were never coming back, my stress levels had gotten to me and I am so glad I didn't, hehehe!
Here is Boo from one of the games right before she fell into a giant muddle puddle, oh and she must of had 50 ring pops during the season!
Reminds me of when I was little being drug around to all the baseball fields, playing, getting dirty and snacking on lots of candy LOL!  All in all both seasons had lots of moments and melt downs, but they are little and just learning and we were very proud of them!
